why do I need a Savior?

we cannot be saved by our own works for we all have sinned:
"As it is written, ' There is none righteous, not even one...'" - Rom 3:10
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." - Rom 3:23

our sin is what seperates us from God:
"But your sin has made a seperation from you and your God" - Isaiah 59:2

there are consequences for sin:
"For the wages of sin is death" - Rom 6:23

God's love has provided us a way to cleanse our sin:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believeth on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life" - John 3:16

so repenting of sin and accepting Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved, it is by grace, not "good" works:
"But not God has shown us a different way to heaven - not by 'being good enough' and trying to keep His laws, but by a new way (though not new, really, for the Scriptures told about it long ago), Now God says He will accept and aquit us - declare us 'not guilty' - if we trust Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we can be saved in this same way, by coming to Christ, no matter who we are or what we have been like" - Rom 3:21-22

yes, there is only ONE way to God:
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father (God), but by me'" - John 14:6

we must individually receive Jesus as Savior and Lord
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name" - John 1:12
